The Planet Turbec
Description
Some of our records originate from the planet Turbec.
Turbec is a world that is in the shadow of another planet called Kooldrich. Since Turbec remains in the shadow at all times, this phenomenon causes the world to generally exist in a purple twilight with the exception of an area of darkness known as the Shadowlands. The proximity to Kooldrich causes a circle of shadow on Turbec in the space closest to the other planet. Another circle of shadow exists as well on the far side of the planet that never receives light. This means that there are technically two locations known as Shadowlands on Turbec (which is a large source of confusion for many Recorders for the Order of Record Keepers).
The lighter areas around the edges of the planet are where most of the kingdoms reside, including Tec, Kingdom North in the north, the Kingdom of Matz, the Swampland in the South to the south, and the Kingdom of the Lion Heart. The lightest kingdom is where the Kingdom of the Lion Heart exists.
Grass is prevalent everywhere in the lighter regions of Turbec but is much softer and well cultivated near the Swampland in the South. The areas that are the coldest are in the Shadowlands and the lands closest to Tec, Kingdom North.
Most people are awake when the Zenbar star is visible. However, when the Zenbar star reaches Kooldrich is when it is time to sleep. This phenomenon occurs because there is a slight wobble to the Kooldrich planet’s orbit, so it eclipses the star at regular intervals.

Appearance: A young, four foot tall humanoid owl (has hands like a human, though covered in feathers, and generally looks like an owl in every other respect). Has white feathers that are littered with silver ones.

Characteristics: Is amazing and generally skillful. She is observant and quick to learn. She has the ability to read minds from approximately five feet away (or so) but this can improve over time! She just has to work at it. Don’t judge her Charis! Basic flying speed is 18.999 (almost nineteen!) miles per hour.
Special Notes: Ruby Hardbuckle (Roo-bee Hard-buckle) was the apprentice to Charis Wyndgate who is also her sister (they share the same silver-feathered mother). Her father looks like one of Earth’s Snowy Owls and lives at the top of the mountains of Teal. She is currently a Recorder with a focus on Earth missions.

One of his talons on his left leg is red, which hints that he lost it many years ago and had it replaced with an implant.
Characteristics: He is very quiet and has no children, suggesting that he has never tried to play the Breeding Mountain Games on Teal.
Special Notes: He has been tracking Lacat’s for some years now. Hoobert is a Reporter for the Order of Record Keepers that was one of the first to be inducted into the Order. He has excellent abilities to be detailed in his works and very few people know about him since he is usually in the field.
